Mandatory.

So welcome to my blog.

You've either stopped by because it's mandatory within our English class in order to pass, or you're a fool who has accidently stumbled upon my incoherent ramblings. Boy you're in for a show!

Should I let you in on the wonder that is 'The Jess'?
Since I am totally and utterly anti 'My name's Jess,I attend Samford Valley Steiner School, blah, blah, blah', I decided that I would just straight up inform you of some lesser or common known Jess Facts.

Number 1: I truly believe I was placed upon this food abundant World to see and devour. I adore food, it is my one and only life force. If i didn't have the metabolism of a 15 year old, I would most likely be morbidly obese.

Number 2: I believe I am a 'geek in secret', sure I act up with 'tha hood' but when I say I'm at some bitchin' party, kickin' it loose, I'm actually at home with my parents: reading Phantom comics, watching Dr. Who or playing repeats of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' incessantly. Okay so it's not exactly mythical website streaming live out of Mum's basement, but what the hey.

Number 3: I believe that animals are the second greatest things to be put on this Earth, second only to food of course. I love animals, especially cats, much to most peoples discretion.

Number 4: I believe the school i attend has changed me in numerous ways, all positive of course. I am in an absolute euphoric state of mind. My parents think it's odd that a 15 year old girl could be so happy, but it's what Steiner did to me.

Number 5: I believe that no-one at Steiner but Jan understands Eurythmy. (Though, sometimes I'm a little sketchy on whether she really gets it)

Number 6: I believe in words, and literature. Spelling is a truly fantastic thing. I keep a dictionary under my bed and whenever I find a word I'm a little unsure about, i quickly whip out my dictionary. See... secret nerd.

Number 7: I believe I can rock Ingela's world! ROAWR.

Number 8: I believe that details about my birth, life, parents, family, hobbies etc etc are for interrogations and not for blogs. Hence the random facts in place of the Jess Taylor Biography.

Number 9: I believe I am television and music obsessed. Ingela claims I have an 'amazing ability to memorise television episodes and song lyrics, often resulting in outrageously fun times'. But I guess that's because theres either a monologue or a song playing in my mind at all times, there is never silence in my head, better that, my life.

Number 10: Lastly, and this is probably the hardest one to say out loud. Well not really because I'm typing it out, but the thought itself is rather dificult to get through...

I believe in myself: Jessica Mason Taylor.

OK, so i figure this blog is to aid my class in getting to know me, so I suppose I should probably open myself up a little bit more.
As I said earlier, I love language, I write numerous poems, most of which never see the light of day. This poem, however, is a favourite of mine, I wrote it in the car, a thought just popped to mind, and so i had to jot it down. Its a work in progress, and a bit raunchy, so just bear with me. Its yet to be named, if you have any ideas on the name, let me know.

'The everlasting battle,
Unfair in it's advantages.
Lion versus Lamb,
And so the lamb goes to slaughter.

The seductress, gripping the naive's hand tightly, like a malevolent murderer grips his victim's throat.
Splutter, Choke...

And like the victim's life, the naive's innocence is lost in an instant to effortless beauty and charm.

But how could anyone resist?
She looks: such beauty
She moves: such grace
She smells: irresistible.

The naive can only wonder how she sounds, feels...tastes!
Such thoughts cannot be restrained,
Such thoughts cannot sustain,
And so the lamb goes to slaughter."

I love poetry, i love the free reign that comes with creating your own poetry. You can decide whether you want correct grammar, spelling, format.
It's Brilliant!

So I hope you all know a little about the wonder that is 'The Jess'
Hope you enjoyed, I know it was hell to write.
Dave better give me an 'A'!
